LETR Harwich Polar Plunge 2022
Registration/Check - in: We are asking Plungers to check-in between 9:00AM - 10:45AM. Once you check in, you can take a team photo, grab a long sleeve t-shirt, and get excited to take the Plunge! We will have a safety briefing around 10:45am before Plunge.
Weather: Saturday's forecast is predicting a high of 55 degrees with slight overcast - perfect Plunging weather! We will be completely outdoors, so please dress warmly (jacket, boots, hat, gloves) whether you plan to plunge or are just there to cheer on the plungers. We will have a tent on-site for people to gather but to mitigate any potential Covid risk, the tent will not be walled or heated.
Costume Contest: Once you've registered or checked-in, take a team Photo in costume!
Plunge: We will have a safety briefing at 10:45am and then Plunge will commence!
Awards: Awards will be announced after the Plunge! We'll be giving out awards for Top Fundraising Individual, Top Fundraising Team (by Category) and Best costume!!

The Harwich Police Department is partnering with The Law Enforcement Torch Run to bring back their Polar Plunge for a second year! Set at Red River Beach, plungers will run into the ocean to support Special Olympics. Before the plunge, join us for fundraising and costume awards! Gather your brrrravest, inclusion-celebrating friends and family, create a plunge team and start fundraising!
The Polar Plunge is about more than just a good time. By fundraising $100 or more, you are empowering over 14,000 Special Olympics athletes in Massachusetts to train and compete in the sports they love, sponsoring lifelong friendships and competitive spirits, and celebrating inclusion for individuals with intellectual disabilities on and off the playing field.
