LETR UMass Boston Polar Plunge 2024

If you would like to participate in the 2024 UMass Boston Plunge but have not yet registered, you can register On-Site on Saturday morning. Event Location: Carson Beach, 100 William J Day Blvd, Boston, MA 

Parking: Beach parking is available but limited on either side of the Edward J. McCormack Bathhouse. There is pay by plate parking available in the Bayside Lot of UMass Boston.

Registration/Check-in: 10:00AM inside the Edward J. McCormack Bathhouse | Plunge: 11:00AM

• Anyone under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian with them to sign a waiver. Download the form ahead of time here.
• Bathhouse will be open for changing only. Porta-potties will be on-site for restroom use.

Event Details 

The UMASS Boston Police Department is partnering with the Law Enforcement Torch Run to host their FIRST annual Polar Plunge! Set at Carson Beach, plungers will run into the ocean in support of Special Olympics Massachusetts! Join us after plunge for Awards - we'll be giving out awards for Top Fundraising Team, Top Fundraising Individual and more! Grab your brrravest, inclusion-celebrating friends and family, create a plunge team, and start fundraising!

The Polar Plunge is about more than just a good time. By fundraising $100 or more, you are empowering over 14,000 Special Olympics athletes in Massachusetts to train and compete in the sports they love, sponsoring lifelong friendships and competitive spirits, and celebrating inclusion for individuals with intellectual disabilities on and off the playing field.
